I have received word this week of the impending arrival of a VIB - Very Important Baby. (Not mine - don't get any ideas!) Anyhow, I figure the only way to react to this insanely good news is with an insanely ambitious knitting project. So, I am proud to announce
the VIB project
- I will make one knitted gift for the VIB per week until the VIB arrives.
- As this involves an insane amount of knitting, I do not plan on actually *finishing* one gift per week. One gift per week is the average knitting output I hope to achieve.
- Accordingly, many of these gifts will likely be very quick and easy, while a few should be breathtakingly complicated and stunningly beautiful.
- Should I fall off the wagon and fail to achieve my goal, I will pay my penance by knitting extra gifts for the VIB after the VIB arrives.
So, those are the rules. If you have any suggestions of what I should be knitting (esp. of the quick projects), I would really appreciate it. I need to get on the ball and start ordering yarn!
Needless to say, the arrival of the kitties in Colorado has taken a backseat to this news. I will update you about their interminable cuteness very soon.
VIB Project Update, 1:12pm: I have now ordered an obscene number of books with baby knitting patterns in them. I do have some baby knitting books at home, but why not take advantage of an opportunity to expand my collection? After all, these are just books - not yarn!
I am also quite taken with the penguin.
