Addi Turbos, for those knitters lucky enough to have used them, are nothing short of miraculous. After knitting for months on wooden needles, you suddenly discover that yarn glides as if moved by a benign, supernatural force (your knitting fairy godmother?) when it is wrapped around sleek metal. The fabulousness of the glittery, turkey-baster-like size 36's make your drab project suddenly seem beautiful and just a tad funky. And yes - as the name promises - you find yourself knitting a wee bit faster than usual.
In honor of the Addi Turbo, I propose a competition. In exchange for the best Addi Turbo-related Haiku poetry, I will purchase the winner a set of Addi Turbo needles of his/her choosing. Here are the rules:
1. All poetry must refer to the Addi Turbo. You may make reference to other needles as well, but Addis must be a part of the theme. Odes devoted entirely to other needles will be appreciated, but will not count for the purposes of the competition.
2. Haikus must have the traditional form of 5-7-5 (that's number of syllables per line).
3. Entries must be submitted to this blog by midnight, April 30th, Mountain Time. The winner will be announced as soon as possible thereafter.
4. There is no limit on how many entries each knitter contributes. (Thanks to Jenifer for pointing out that I might want to add this.)
