Name the Ring of Fuzz Challenge

Well, it's a new month (although you'd never guess it was spring here in Colorado with all the snow we've had this weekend) - and that means a new challenge!

Our goal this month will be to come up with a name for the ring of fuzz that forms around your working yarn as you are knitting.  Well, I am going out on a limb here, and I am assuming this happens to pretty much everyone.  At least it happens to me.  And I need a name so I can properly curse the Ring of Fuzz.  (Obviously, I am hoping for something more creative than Ring of Fuzz - but that's all I've got today).

So, here's the challenge:

Come up with a name for the ring of fuzz by the end of this month.  Submit it to this blog.  The winner of the challenge will receive some gorgeous yarn with which to make the most beautiful ring of fuzz that has ever been seen by the knitting world!

If it turns out that there is already an official term for the ring of fuzz, then I am curious to know what it is.  However, the pre-existence of an official term should not preclude knitters out there from coming up with their own, most likely very creative names for this bizarre knitting phenomenon.  In other words, I am curious to know what this official term might be, but you can't win the contest by telling me what it is.  I want imaginative suggestions!

Get to work, knitters!

P.S.  I will be announcing the results of the Addi Turbo Haiku Challenge within the next 24 hours.  Keep a watch on the blog!
