Like the Autobahn,
My needles move as fast as
little german cars.
This Haiku was submitted by jillz, who will soon be receiving her very own set of Addi Turbo needles! As the proud owner of a VW New Beetle (with Turbo), I couldn't resist. Thanks for your poem, Jill!
I am also pleased to announce two Honorable mentions. The first is by another Jill, who sadly has no blog. Jill is also a professor, and she submitted numerous academic-related haikus, much to my delight. This general-interest haiku was clearly near the top of the bunch (but sadly mentioned the wrong make of car):
My old Subaru
says "Turbo" on its side. My
Addis say, "yeah right."***
The second Honorable Mention is by frequent submitter Jenifer. I cannot count how many entries she had to this challenge, but this was my favorite. It was also the very first entry to the challenge, and got us off to an auspicious start:
clickety clack is

no more ufo
Thanks to everyone who participated. I will soon be compiling all of the haiku on a single page (since they are distributed among many lists of comments). This was a lot of fun.
